John Moses, a graduate of Perry High School, is currently the vice president of professional services for Advizex Technologies.
Moses holds multiple technical and information security certifications with Cisco, Microsoft and ISC2 along with more than 20 years of executive IT management in the insurance, financial services, construction and now the technology consulting industries.
Moses, who is married to Laura, his wife, explained how he became involved with C&A. “My sister, Angela Moses, introduced me to the organization through invitations to yearly fundraising events. Subsequently, I was able to meet with a number of folks at C&A including other board members and Mr.French.”
He explained what he likes most about working with C&A. “I recently transitioned from information technology executive management within organizations to the consulting realm to focus more on life’s journey and become more involved in our community,” said Moses, who has two children, Aiden and Ireland. In addition to their children, the Moses’ have several pet cats, Westley, Peanut, Norm, Buttercup and Poptart. “I believe in the mission of C&A and outreach for the betterment of the youth and families and when presented this opportunity by Joe (French), I couldn’t have been more honored and excited.”
An interesting fact about the agency’s newest board member, who will be part of the agency’s operations committee, is he was a childhood model.
His advice to youth is you never know what someone else may be going though in their life at a certain time of interaction, so be patient and assess.
