Dan Mucci, who grew up in Plain Township and graduated from GlenOak High School, has had a diverse career path, starting out as a journalist for the former Free Press newspaper and Massillon Independent.
From there, he managed independent contractors who delivered The Repository before becoming the general manager of the former Suburbanite and Jackson Suburbanite, which he started, newspapers. Mucci also worked in technology sales for Delta Media Group before starting at C&A as the marketing coordinator.
Mucci earned his bachelor’s degree in communications and minor in business administration from the University of Mount Union.
He said people would be surprised to learn that he has run the scoreboard for GlenOak home basketball games for the past 20 years.
“We all makes mistakes,” said Mucci, as his advice to young people. “Apologize for the error and learn from the mistake. When you see someone else make a mistake, give grace, show compassion and understanding.”
Mucci, and Tera, his wife, have two adult children – Serena and JJ.
