JOB DESCRIPTIONS/DUTIES

  • Provide direct support, guidance, supervision, and assistance to assigned prevention specialists addressing challenges with engagement, implementation questions and/or concerns with curriculum. 
  • Provide direct training, mentoring, and coaching to assigned prevention specialists/supervisees who are providing ECMH prevention services in the community and local school districts. 
  • Consult, report, and meet with Prevention Program Manager (PPM) on a regular basis to update PPM on personnel, utilization of budgeted funds, spending, hours, and productivity. 
  • Attend and participate in individual supervision, team reflective supervision, and quality assurance meetings as scheduled and as needed. 
  • Serve as an agency and community liaison as requested.
  • Assure the completion and accuracy of documentation/outcomes of assigned prevention specialists within expected timeframes. 
  • Provide quality assurance of ECMH Prevention Charts to ensure appropriate documentation and referral information in charts.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with the PPM as well as community partners and the school districts to determine programming needs and assignments. 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with universities and provide oversight/supervision/mentoring for a Prevention BA/LSW internship.
  • Attend continuing education opportunities to obtain and/or maintain professional credentials, licenses, and certifications as directed. 
  • Attend scheduled StarkMHAR monthly school-based consultation, prevention meetings and quarterly school-based consultation, prevention meetings with school superintendents.
  • Will maintaining, organize, and keep track of the curriculum materials to keep them up to date.
  • Use a consultative stance and strength-based approach to provide reflective supervision to assigned staff. 
  • Will provide coordination and referral to other community services, as needed.
  • Will participate in professional supervision and training activities, including Clinical Supervisors’ Meetings and other agency leadership meetings as requested and assigned.
  • Will perform other duties, as assigned and requested by PPM, CCO, or other Chief Officer.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to function well as a team member.
  • Must be culturally competent and willing to work with clients and families within various and diverse populations.
  • Must be flexible and possess excellent organizational skills, be able to complete tasks and deliver results in a timely manner. 
  • Must possess the ability to work effectively and professionally with other community partners, professionals, and different disciplines.
  • Previous experience supervising others is valuable and preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or a related field; LSW/LPC preferred. 
  • A minimum of two years providing ECMH or similar programming to local school districts and/or the community. 
  • Must have Prevention Credential through OCDPB; OCPS or OCPC required.
  • Must have ECMH credential or be eligible and working toward attaining.

LOCATION

We have four locations in Stark County including downtown Canton, Belden Village, Alliance, and Plain Township.

Salary Range/Compensation: Salary and compensation will be based upon licensure status and direct care hours provided. Full time employees are eligible for full medical benefits, life insurance, paid time off and matched retirement plans.

Hours: Full-time. Some evening hours required.
