PREVENTION PROGRAM MANAGER

Job Description/Duties

  • Oversee, Coordinate, and provide Administrative Supervision for all providers and services within C&A’s Prevention Program.
  • Assure that Prevention services are adequately staffed, that Prevention staff are well trained to provide appropriate services, and that Prevention services provided are appropriate, effective, and efficient, and documented as expected. 
  • Establish and maintain expertise related to evidence-based practices (EBPs); promote the use of EBPs and evidence-informed/best practices by C&A Prevention staff.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement activities which benefit clients, staff, and C&A. Orient new therapists and staff to C&A as requested. 
  • Participates on Clinical Supervisors’ Team, Leadership Council, and other agency Panels as requested.
  • Responsibility and oversight for all state and local Prevention collaborations, and all contracts, RFPs, grants, budgets, funding streams, and reporting requirements that fall under the Prevention umbrella.
  • Assist in developing additional Prevention community programs, services, and partnerships.
  • Serve as a C&A and community resource regarding C&A’s Prevention services.
  • Other duties related to Prevention services, as assigned. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the area of Prevention services, particularly working with families and children with developmental, behavioral, medical, and/or mental health concerns.
  • Knowledge of Prevention services and behavioral health programs and resources available in Stark County and state-wide to assist families in meeting the challenges of their young children with special needs.
  • Ability to work effectively with other professionals and different disciplines, both within and outside the mental health profession, to meet the various needs of young children and other youth.
  • Supervisory and organizational skills; written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess skills to conceptualize client/system needs and recommend appropriate services. Training and experience that is “trauma-informed” as well as background/knowledge of programs such as DINA and Incredible Years, and other Prevention programming pertaining to child and adolescent populations are valuable. 

Skills and Experience

Qualifications

  • Licensed in the State of Ohio to provide assessment and therapy via the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Must possess at least a Master’s Degree(s) in Counseling, Social Work, or the equivalent. Independent licensure (LPCC, LISW) preferred.
  • Must be OCPC Prevention licensed to supervise others providing prevention work in the State of Ohio via the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board.

LOCATION

We have four locations in Stark County including downtown Canton, Belden Village, Alliance, and Plain Township.

Salary Range/Compensation: Based upon licensure status, education and experience.

Hours: Full-time. Some evening hours required. 

Location: This position is at the Canton/Shipley office.
